I've have Windows XP Professional for about 3 years.. and purloin care of my computer religiously.. i defragment.. produce sure only the needed programs are installed.. BUT it take forever to lstart up.. i literally want to throw it out the window... How can i speed that up..?? where on earth can i go to 'uncheck' what i don't stipulation to load when window starts??

Click start, then run.
Type MSCONFIG and hit enter.
Look for the start-up programs and "uncheck" what you KNOW you don't involve.

start - run - type 'msconfig' press enter - go to startup tab and deselect the one you dont want.
run to start>> RUN>>> then type Msconfig press ok
consequently go to tab menu afterwards click startup.. check or uncheck those programs you wish to nouns on startup..

Yes go to control panel, administrator settings, after services. When the services window pops up expand it and you can deal with when all things run.
Hit Start next open the RUN box a glass opens type within MSCONFIG go to the startup tab uncheck the piece you don't need only just don't ucheck all of them some may be needed by window
