You need a program to do that. AVOID NERO!!!! I dont know what will work, but DVDs are encoded.

How come my computer won't boot up unless I clear the CMOS?
I built my computer give or take a few 14 months ago. About 2 months ago the power supply died and it wouldnt turn on. Well I installed a new power supply, except very soon every time I turn it on I have to move a pullover on the motherboard, turn it on, turn it off, move the pullover back, and with the sole purpose then will it completely boot up. What is going on? This is a huge anguish. Thank you.

If positively nothing happen... no beeps, no nought... then your motherboard is probably comatose. If it were anything but the board, later it should at least blare. If it does beep, after get your motherboard almanac to look up the meaning of the blast code. That will give you some insight as to what is broken.

If positively nothing happen... no beeps, no nought... then your motherboard is probably comatose. If it were anything but the board, later it should at least blare. I use like peas in a pod drive on my computer about a week ago to burn a cd and it worked simply fine. My daughter put in a dvd (not a record dvd) and it says that the dvd can be acknowledged. How can you relay when your hard drive on your computer is getting tired? I get my desk top about 6 years ago. No problems ever next to it except changing out a supporter. Yes it is a Dell. But now today I fired it up and it of late sits there and I click the blue E for IE and it in recent times sits there. I can't bring up my Incredimail or anything. It is merely like it is suspended contained by time. It is a P4, 1.8GHz I think. 512 mb of RAM. I click on my computer, but right in a minute it is not even going to open up that. HMMMM Someone told me it is probably my rugged drive is tired. DO you think it is that or what do you imagine it is? Thanks for your help.

Now download intervideo you can use the software to play dvds.

I be watching 20/20 the other week, and the FBI or somebody confiscated this guy's computer for hacking or something and they looked at his computer and found adjectives sorts of files and stuff. How can I read my hard drive approaching they did? Is this even possible? How can I erase my hard drive or rid of the files that I don't want--that clutter my PC?
