I believe MASM is for INTEL base processors & it is not a simulator.
How come MASM runs on AMD base systems.?
Because AMD processors are almost 100% compatible with the Intel instruction codes. There's some mode of weird history where on earth AMD co-produced Intel processors and therefore get hold of the specifications. If AMD processors were not, vote, at least 98% compatible near Intel's instruction codes, nothing would work!
