if u r using xp, first try to organise all folders and big files lower than them. Do not have any mercy within deleting those small files, but rob a backup in a compact disc first. Once this is done, restart the system and run the disk defragment utility, and restart.
Hi. Download some free software to get rid of second-hand goods files ( CCleaner is a good one), spyware ( Spybot is a well brought-up one ) and malware ( AdAware is a good one ). Get rid of what these programs find and consequently defragment.
If you have adjectives your data files (documents, music, video, pics, etc.) backed up and the installation CDs for adjectives your software, you can completely reformat your hard drive. I do this in the order of once per year and it keeps it running resembling new. It restores your sturdy drive to factory condition.



Many of the newer computers have a dividing wall in the thorny drive where you can completely reformat your rugged drive without using installation CDs or DOS. In XP, it is call a "destructive system recovery" and it is a relatively simple process.
