if u r using xp, first try to organise all folders and big files lower than them. Do not have any mercy within deleting those small files, but rob a backup in a compact disc first. Once this is done, restart the system and run the disk defragment utility, and restart.
Hi. Download some free software to get rid of second-hand goods files ( CCleaner is a good one), spyware ( Spybot is a well brought-up one ) and malware ( AdAware is a good one ). Get rid of what these programs find and consequently defragment.

I do this in the order of once per year and it keeps it running resembling new. It restores your sturdy drive to factory condition.
