How can you explain to if your computer have a DVD burner?

I've individual had a computer for for a while while now and don't know much around it. I just found out it have a CD burner.

How can you explain to if your computer have a DVD burner?

put surrounded by a blank DVD and if you get a skylight pop up asking you what you want to do I.E open dvd to vista in medium palyer or write to dvd you know you have a writer, remember your looking for it to hold write to DVD or similar in the glass
If your running windows xp, spread out my computer and right click on ur cd-drive which most of the case is drive d or E: next go to properties and it it say dvd-r that means u can story :)

if it says dvd-rom after all u can do is attitude dvd's.

NOw if its sayd cd-r/dvd-r u can record regular cd's and dvd's which is the travel case in most drives now
Right click to cd/dvd driveim my computer. If "write these files to cd " option you own, its burner.
