How can I speedup shutdown of my window XP?
if you enjoy many advanced settings and hold enabled disk backup as well as hibernation, this will increase shutdown time significantly. I know what its close to to be in the middle of an F5 tornado and your trying to shut down your computer but it take forever....
It may help if you have more disk space, RAM, a higher processor and smaller amount fragments, as the very smart other yahooligan suggested.

u cant.cuz it depends on the number of programs u were running earlier u did a shut down...the cpu takes times to close adjectives programs.
you can speed up the shutdown, by running one of the following, disk defragmenter, disk cleanup, or plainly you can get rid of unused files and programs. When your computer shuts down it stops adjectives of the running tasks, so your computer can obtain an fester state, then it save its settings, and other things. So, stop all running processes also help it run faster, when shutting down or plainly using the computer for normal tasks.
Go to start/run and type msconfig. This will allow you to choose what programs run at startup. There are sure programs that you don't need running at startup that will slow your PC down.
